At a glance

Av. Emre Arslan is a lawyer practising in Istanbul. He provides legal advice and representation across Türkiye in sixteen areas, including criminal, family, employment, inheritance, real estate, commercial and immigration law. Many matters can be handled under a power of attorney without the client travelling to Türkiye.

Representation is available throughout Türkiye for Turkish citizens living abroad and foreign nationals with legal matters in Türkiye. Legal fees are agreed in writing and must comply with the Minimum Attorney Fee Tariff.

How we work

The following steps show how a matter usually progresses from the initial consultation to a decision, so you know what to expect at each stage.

   Initial consultation

   We listen to your circumstances, identify any active deadlines and explain the available legal routes. Consultations may be in person or online.

   Written fee agreement

   The legal fee is agreed in a written retainer before work begins and may not be below the Minimum Attorney Fee Tariff.

   Power of attorney

   A power of attorney is issued by a notary or, if you are abroad, by a Turkish consulate. We cannot act on your behalf without it.

   Preparing the matter

   Documents are collected, expert and witness evidence is prepared where necessary, and submissions are filed with the competent court or authority.

   Following the process

   Hearings, service of documents and interim decisions are monitored, with regular updates on status and next steps.

6. 6
   Decision and appeals

   We explain the decision and its reasoning and file any regional appeal or cassation application within the applicable deadline.
